Console, Furniture, TablesConsole by Studio Goons. Goons was founded in 2019 in Paris as a collaboration between an architect, Paul Trussler and a designer/creative editor, Mia Kim. It is an atelier focused on exploring simple concepts. Paul Trussler is an Architect and designer who has completed a wide range of international projects with a particular focus on museums, galleries and restaurants while working for Frank Gehry and for his own office in California, Pentagon. He specialized in handcrafted objects, physical model making, drawing and digital representation. Mia Kim has a background in fashion, fine arts, painting and sculpture and has worked as a designer and creative editor for a few of the top fashion houses in Paris, including Hermès and Chanel. Olga Engel is a Russian product and interior designer, based in Latvia and in France.Olga graduated from the Moscow Textile Academy, one of the best design universities in Russia. After studying, she practised graphic design and packaging design for cosmetic products. In 2010 Olga received an interior designer diploma in the Moscow design school “Details” and continued her studies at KLC School of Design in London, where she got an internship with the famous British designer Mark Humphrey. In the design studio of Mark Humphrey Olga has gained experience as a product designer.Olga harmoniously mixes luxury with minimalism, functionality and ergonomics with a light mood and a touch of irony. Kitayama Console
Console, Furniture, TablesConsole in natural or stained Kitayama cedar. Each piece is signed. Discovered during a journey in Japan, Kitayama cedar’s unique texture inspired Garnier et Linker for their furniture collection. Trunks are polished and cut in Kyoto, and sent to France. Each piece of furniture is handmade according to traditional cabinet making techniques. Kitayama cedar is typical of northern Kyoto mountains forests. For 600 years, men have been controlling each tree’s growth in order to get very straight trunks without any knot. Logs have traditionally been used for building tea houses.
