Relating to Picasso’s pictorial imaginary, the “chair-object” is the rendering of the myth in its formal duality. A duel between fragility and strength: the Cesta Metálica is the updated version of the Cesta, with its own distinct features. It comes with or without a smooth leather handle; a stark contrast to the stern, rigid structure, that gently holds an opal globe withÂout neck. Miguel Milá mastered the strength of steel by placing at its centre a delicate opal silhouette, and a touch of soft leather. A seamless expression of strength and emotion, combined with everyday practicality. The lantern is produced manually by European craftsmen, using traditional glass blowing techniques for its opal shade.

A graphic linear piece, this tapered pedestal table grows out of a wide base. It is manufactured as a continuous form in cream-coloured layered fibreglass.

Originally made in sycamore for Assemblage 1, the Spade Stool has been sand-cast in corrosion resistant aluminium and anodised to provide an irregular blackened, molten-like effect.
