Born in 1994 in the Oise region, Jules Lobgeois lives and works in a small village in the south of the region. It is in this village surrounded by forests where my ancestors lived that he find the inspiration as well as the wood and steel I need to create.
Halfway between functional object and sculpture, each piece he creates comes from a search for purity of form.

The writing table reduced to its essential elements, a prehistoric arch constructed of lacquered fibreboard. With gently curved edges and pleasingly sturdy supports.
CHUBBY STOOL
A scaled-down companion to the Chubby Little Desk, this arched seat stands firm upon a pair of chunky lacquered-fibreboard legs.
