The DOUGH ceramics range – named to highlight the common ground of kneading in both baking and pottery – comprises four essential pieces: a mug, a jug, a bowl and a platter. Hand-shaped in the Toogood studio before being cast in stoneware, the pieces share a pared-back yet playful simplicity; the mugs and pitchers boast chunky, outsized handles, while the platter and bowl have a rounded, swelling quality that calls to mind rising dough. All are available in two matt glazes, cream and charcoal, featuring a subtle speckling effect.
In addition, two decorative pieces – a vase and a centrepiece – complement the range. Echoing the subtly organic swell of the tableware, they are distinguished by a reactive glaze treatment that transitions between silky matt and shiny gloss in a single piece.

It is made, polished and finished in Sydney, Australia in solid Gunmetal Bronze. Sand casting is as much about negative space as it is about form, which is why the object is reversible so consider both sides of your dish. The Vide Poche is manufactured in small batches meaning slight variations will occur from piece to piece. Production marks may include slight pour ripples or surface pitting.
